A bit about my story:

I thought I’d be a professional dancer my whole life.

But after a devastating injury while pursuing my BFA at SMU’s elite dance program, my mental health began to suffer. I was sidelined for a year with multiple surgeries—and for a professional athlete and artist, this left me with few tools to cope.

Anxiety I thought I had been “managing just fine” since childhood started preventing me from sleeping, my relationship with food became increasingly fraught, and full-on panic would pound in my chest every time I stepped on stage, even years after the physical injury had healed.

I tried therapy, prozac, journaling, meditation, faking it…just about anything I could do to return to a feeling of confidence in my body and peace in my mind. Nothing worked, at least not well enough, and by the time I was a year post-college, I was ready to quit.

I went into my first hypnosis session (over SKYPE, way back in the day) pretty skeptical. I came out feeling hope for the first time in years.

A few short hypnosis sessions led to a complete resurrection of my confidence in myself, and a restoration of my ability to not only excel at my art form, but to ENJOY it. I was able to sleep, retrain my eating habits, and perform on stages all over Austin, nary a panic attack in sight. I went on to continue my dance career through the end of my 20’s, when I retired to devote my full attention to serving my hypnosis clients.

Client-centered hypnosis is the foundation of my work. I am committed to providing culturally responsive and trauma-informed care. My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming and social-justice oriented both inside and outside the context of hypnosis sessions.
